Frequently asked questions

When does it come out?

Temporal Apex is launching on Google Play for Android phones, tablets and PC (Google Play Games on PC). Sign up for the monthly riddles to hear when it launches.

Is it free?

Yes. The game is free with ads. The God Demon, Earth, the Moon and Mars are free. More gods, eras and worlds can be unlocked with packs.

How do I get rid of ads?

Buy Remove Ads once in the PACKS screen. Banner and between-level ads go away for good. Optional reward videos stay, so you can still watch one for a free test drive of a locked god.

Can I die?

No. You're a god. The army, the Celestials and the alien fleets can knock you around and drain your power, but you never die.

Can I stream it or post videos?

Yes, and you can monetize them. All of the game's music and sound is made for the game. Turn on Streamer mode in Settings to hide your Player ID, and tap SHARE THIS after a big moment to share a replay clip. Step-by-step help for Twitch and YouTube on Android and PC is on the Stream It page.

What controls does it use?

On-screen touch controls on phones and tablets. On a computer: WASD to fly, Space up, C down, Shift to boost, F or click to fire, R to time jump, P for packs and M for the menu. To see your character from the front, hold the right mouse button, roll the wheel or press Q / E; on a phone, drag on empty screen while standing still and double-tap to put the camera back behind you.

Purchases

All purchases go through Google Play. If something you bought doesn't show up, close the game completely and open it again, or use Restore Purchases in the PACKS screen. If it still isn't there, email us with the order number from your Google Play receipt. Refund requests are handled through Google Play.

Saved progress

Your level, Shards and unlocks are saved on your device. If you uninstall the game or clear its data, that progress can be lost. Purchases are tied to your Google account and come back with Restore Purchases.

Rewards for bugs and ideas

Found a bug, or have an idea that would make the game more fun? In the game, open the Shard Forge and tap BUGS & IDEAS. It writes the email for you, with your Player ID filled in. Real bugs and ideas we use earn Shards and a badge, sent as a gift the next time you open the game.

Every confirmed bug report earns Shards. Bug Hunter and Idea Maker badges show in your game. All rewards are in-game Shards and badges only, with no cash value; nothing is a drawing and no purchase is needed.

Monthly relic riddles by email

Get one email a month with the new relic riddles and what they're worth: sign up here. You can also sign up in the game from the Shard Forge (RIDDLES BY EMAIL). This month's riddles are always shown at the bottom of the Shard Forge too.
